AIIB President Jin Liqun holds dialogue with Hong Kong university students

The President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), Mr Jin Liqun, made a special trip to Hong Kong to hold a  dialogue with some 500 students from local universities at my invitation. The talk was held at Central Government Offices this afternoon.

President Jin's great English speech was very well-received by participating students. President Jin explained the history and management principles of the AIIB. He said that the AIIB has adopted global procurement and global recruitment procedures and with zero tolerance for corruption. The Bank uses English as its daily working language and handles loan transactions in US dollars. The students were very interested in the development of the AIIB. President Jin also encouraged the students to join  the AIIB by fair competition after graduation.

The students, obviously well prepared for the question-and-answer session, raised questions actively and confidently. I saw in them the vigour, vitality and global perspective of our Hong Kong young people.
