Need and room for developing Hong Kong's agriculture and fisheries

Chairman Dr Jonathan Choi and members of the new term of the Advisory Committee on Agriculture and Fisheries (ACAF) will take office tomorrow. This morning, I had a meeting with the ACAF's outgoing and new members at the Central Government Offices along my government colleagues, including the Secretary for Food and Health, Dr Ko Wing-man; the Permanent Secretary for Food and Health (Food), Mrs Cherry Tse; and the Director of Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation, Dr Leung Siu-fai.

Hong Kong people's businesses have extended to Pakistan

A few days ago, I attended the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing together with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. Belt and Road Initiative: signing of Hong Kong Manifesto by 38 legal groups from 23 countries/regions

This morning, I attended and gave a speech at the Belt and Road Conference hosted by the Law Society of Hong Kong in celebration of its 110th anniversary. A Hong Kong Manifesto was signed between the Law Society of Hong Kong and 37 legal groups from 22 countries/regions at the Conference, highlighting Hong Kong’s role as a key link and "super-connector" for the Belt and Road.

A deep and wide range of aircraft-related businesses

This morning I attended and gave an opening speech at the International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT) Asia 2017. It was three years ago that the ISTAT last held its Asia Conference in Hong Kong, at which 360 participants took part. This year the number of participants has increased to 800, with most coming from overseas.
