Typhoon Usagi approaching

Fanling Lodge was previously the Rural Training College. Earlier on, the alumni of the school expressed to me their wish to visit and have a get-together at Fanling Lodge. I of course welcomed their suggestion, and planned to receive them personally so as to listen to these seniors (the oldest one being 100 years old) talk about their collective memories. The visit was to take place this morning but unfortunately it had to be rescheduled due to the approach of Usagi. I understand that the seniors must be somewhat disappointed. But safety comes first and we cannot be too careful. I promise that I will arrange for them to visit Fanling Lodge as soon as possible after the typhoon.

While the Government has taken all necessary precautions, I would also like to remind everyone in Hong Kong to stay alert and prepare for the typhoon.
