Tight schedule in Israel

I have just finished my visit to Israel.

During my two days in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, I had six separate official meetings with the Israeli President, Prime Minister, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Chief Scientist, the Mayor of Tel Aviv-Yafo, and China's Ambassador to Israel. I also attended three meetings with the academic sector, conducted two site visits to enterprises and officiated at the opening ceremony of the Tel Aviv Consultant Office of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.

Hong Kong and Israel speak the same language on social and economic development, and the Israeli government attached great importance to my visit. Although there were terrorist attacks in the country in the past couple of days, my visit was not affected.

I am very confident about co-operation between Hong Kong and Israel. I will have follow-up to do when I return.
