Unremitting efforts to increase housing supply

Many families in Hong Kong want a better living environment. Since taking office, the current-term Government has risen to the challenge and made every effort to increase housing supply.

According to government statistics released today, Hong Kong's private housing supply has continued to increase and has hit a record high. As at the end of June, the potential supply of private housing for the coming three to four years was estimated to be 93 000 units, representing a year-on-year increase of 10 000 units.

Hard work always pays off. The Government must not give up halfway. To make sustained improvements in people's living environment and to solve the long-standing housing problem from its root, we must overcome all obstacles and make unremitting efforts to increase housing supply.
