Fellow citizens,

The Lunar New Year is a time for family reunions.  Children, in particular, love this time of the year because of the enjoyment of long holidays and red packets.

To get on well with their children, parents should spend more quality time with them to strengthen the ties.  I recall when my two sons were still young, no matter how busy I was, I would make time to dine with my family, and have a good chat with my children before tucking them into bed.

While new year cakes and red packets are enjoyable, we treasure more a joyful family reunion in the Spring Festival.  As a new year begins, I hope wives and husbands, parents and children alike will stay close together in harmony and happiness.
