Sharing the Joy of Christmas

Christmas is a time for celebration and it will be even more fun to share the joy of the festive season with others.

Today, I invited some 60 children from the Po Leung Kuk and the Evangel Children's Home for an early Christmas party.

For many of them, it was their first time visiting Government House and there was great excitement when they were in and around the historic monument embellished with Christmas decorations. We made Christmas hats, watched magic shows and lit the Christmas tree at the main entrance of Government House together.

I would like to say thank you to the Po Leung Kuk and the Evangel Children's Home for helping us with arrangements for the activity and an even bigger thank you to them for giving lots of loving care to young people in need over the years. I hope the children will exert themselves and grow up strongly under their care.

It's always better to share the joy with others. While celebrating the festive holiday, I hope all of us will care more about the 7 million people around us and spread warmth in every corner of Hong Kong.
